Cyril reports from The Master of Caribbean

Hi Everyone,

After the Victory in Vietnam I only managed to come back with a 2nd place in the Master of Caribbean. The Plan was to have the 7 best sailors of the planet in Slalom Bjorn and Finian where not available so 7 guys of the top 10 were present. The wind direction wasn't perfect for crossing Guadeloupe to Martinique so the race committee decided to make us race in Guadeloupe Bay.

A 50-kilometer race.
On the first reach it was a big fight between Antoine and me 45 minutes full speed on same tack before arriving in a low gust and stop. Antoine with bigger gear managed to start planning before me and cancelled all my chances of victory.

I am however very happy of this 2nd place which gives me a lot of confidence for 2010 season. I have still 2 more months to train before the 1st PWA event in Korea.

Now next event is Mondial du vent in Leucate with some long distance race and speed on 250meter.

All the best
Cyril
