Starboard dominates the New Caledonian slalom championships

New Caledonia is a group of islands located in the South Pacific with a population of about 250.000 people. Last weekend their beautiful waters saw the New Caledonian Slalom Championships, where the iSonic occupied six top-ten spots. Jean-Louis Colmas, a man who's been very influential to the Starboard brand both as a shaper and constructor occupied the 3rd step on the podium.

Frederic Morin reports from the first place:

"50 riders, 2 days of competition, 4 heats, slalom standard and a big slalom held outside the Anse Vata bay . The race was really good and the wind perfect for the 97 iSonic with 7.0. The fight between the 4 first riders was more than intense and the level was incredibly high for this spot. I am super happy to win 3 heats and finish second in the last one.
I simply made the perfect race with 3 wins and one 2nd place, where Jean-Louis was the surprise of the weekend with an excellent 3rd place. I advised him on his choice of material, and since I've been telling him forever to race a 97 iSonic on 7 meters, he listened and managed to create some serious speeds!!!.

Starboard clearly dominated the New Caledonian championship:"
