Futura 111 WoodCarbon, Planchemag (France), Mar 2011

TEST WINNER

We love: Wide range of use, footstrap positions (available for everyone), ease to glide, top-level performance

We didn't love: Nothing to report

The Futura embodies the essence of freeracing: on one side it suits the sailors who have just learnt to use footstraps, and at the same time it keeps up with slalom boards in terms of performance. It is easier to tap into its performance than a slalom board, and less physical on the back leg, whether on a straight line or in a gybe.

All this translates to high-performance, high-accessibility and riding characteristics that are more forgiving compared to wide-tail slalom boards, whether in a gybe or on a beam reach: this is 100% freerace!
