WISSA stands for "Winter Ice Snow Surfing Association". Technically, it is windsurfing: it's just that the water temperature is below zero, jumps and falls are quite dangerous and the board has blades instead of fins! This year's WISSA Championships took place from the 5th to the 9th of March for the 33rd consecutive time, making it the oldest international windsurfing event to date! Sunshine, good winds, great crew, many supporters and partners together with over a hundred participants who came all the way to Kalajoki, Finland from around the world – this all made WISSA 2013 a big success!
For more information on WISSA, visit their website here or their blog here! WISSA 2014 will be organized in Quebec, Canada. See you all there!
