The second event of the American Windsurfing Tour kicks off this week in the town of Gold Beach. Pistol River is the windsurifng spot that is quickly becoming one of the famous beaches known for great wind and waves, and there is a lot of new international riders showing up to take a stab at winning the Wave Bash.
Starboard Dream Team rider Kevin Pritchard took the title last year narrowly defeating former world Champion Francisco Goya. This year, more and more people are showing up and it is going to be exciting. Other Dream Team Rider Boujmaa Guilloul has made the trek to southern Oregon to take out his team mate Pritchard and take home the crown.
Kevin Pritchard:
"I am really stoked to be able to come back to Pistol River. It's going to be fun; I have some new Ezzy sails this year and I am looking forward to use them in the contest. There are a lot of new guys showing up. Bouj is coming, Graham Ezzy, and a whole bunch of young guys gunning for me. It's going to be tough, but I really want to show some old school moves, and hold on to my title."

The event will be held at Pistol River in Gold Beach from the 16th to the 19th. So if you have time to come check it out, it is going to be fun.
