Aloha! Question which sounds easy: will I be planning with this gear in 4-6m/s? I'm 70kg, skills - intermediate freerider who is willing to learn.
Or proper Formula board is a must have for this purpose? ;)

Hi Guest,
in my opinion and referring to other guys with F-Type 158, with a good 10.5 cambered sail like GTX, at least 62-64 cm fin and with a weight of 70 kg, I think your Lightwind limits should be at 9-10 knots, about 4.5-5 m/s, steady wind.

No, for planing in Lightwind a formula board is not strictly required but a board like F-Type 158 (231 lenght x 100 width) is more than adeguate (if combined with appropriate sail and fin)

Last season I've had the F-type 158 and used it with a 10,6 V8.
Great board!
I could plane from about 5 m/s and I was 103 kilo.
With your weight there shouldn't be a problem!
Some pumping may be required and if that doesn't help enough, you might consider a light wind FW fin.

Thank you very much. I think I will buy this board and rig then.
Wind bless you! =)
