turning kode into thruster ??

Hi all

am considering having my 2009 80L Kode turned into a thruster with two small side bites and a larger central fin.

this is a dated, farily used board so i think i could get into the multifin world for cheap without too much hassle.

so my question is, which fins do the jobs best (am told fcs x2 but unsure). also, I'd like to know how to position those side bites. I 'll have the work done by a shaper, but am not sure he knows exactly the right position so wonder if anyone's been through the process before .

Hi all (Ola H perhaps??) I decided to add side bites to my old 2009 SB Kode (80L). am probably going to use Fcs. need advice on fin positioning, any tips on distance from tail, cant etc??? any web recource on this? thanks guys!!!

Search the boards.co.uk forum and you will find A LOT of discussion on how to position and install additional fins on your board. And quite a lot of discussion on the correct amount of toe-in!

thanks PG. to be frank I did check boards, and found so much info in there that got a bit confused. just need a straight advice on this specific board. i read in a post from Ola that the vertical of reaar tip of the side bites should fall some 32 centimetres from the tip of the board. also on which fin system, some seem to suggest i go for Probox but I have doubts since probox doesn't seem to get to the udnerside of the board (the deck).

but as you say there's a real treasure there, maybe I should take some time and study the whole thing.
