I am looking for a Sonic 110 (2004/5), for light wind conditions above my Sonic 85 (2006).
My specs are, 188cm tall and 90kg weight, using Naish Stealths 5.5 and 6.5 (2005) and a future maybe Stealth 7.8.

My choice for a Sonic is that the Sonic's 110 are called to be very easy, controlling to surf and gibe. In the 2006 year were Sonic and iSonic made together, the Sonic was told to be a bit more slalom orientated.

But, it's very hard to find a Sonic 110 2004/2005 these days.
If i would make my choice for an iSonic, what year is a good year to buy? Also keeping in mind a 2006 iSonic would be cheaper than a 2013 one.

Would someone with Sonic and iSonic experience give information about my question?

Because I now have the option to buy a Sonic110 for 379 euro. So is it a good choice, or is better to spent some more money and buy a specific year iSonic?

I would suggest to buy the 110, and keep your boards around the same year. The 110 will take a little more wind to plane with a 7.8 than a Isonic, but will feel better under foot with your 6.5. To get the most out of it, get the 7.8. Later on, you could upgrade both boards to Isonics( 2011 onwards would be best).

Hope this helps

Thanks Maximus.

As i can say. I got a Sonic110 from 2004 from the shop today. It was looking very good and saved me a lot of money from the newer models.

No its just waiting for a perfect wind day to try it out. :)
