I'm really happy I wear boots. On a couple of my star-board boards ('06 and '07) the patch of material between the antitwist plastic ring with pins and the "velvet" of the footstraps cuts into my boots. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hi Guest,
I'll bet you have your footstraps set in the sam holes front and back (which makes them very narrow).
Try moving the front screw to the next hole to spread the screws, and the anti twist devices) out a little.
The footstraps will still hold your feet on the board very securely, but you can then rotate your heels a little forward and aft along the rail and get better comfort and speed.
Lot's of sailors think your footstraps have to be tight on the sides of your feet. For radical wavesailing and huge air bump and jump.....maybe, but for the back and forth reaching most of us do having the footstraps a little wider is both more comfortable and safer.
Hope this helps,
