I'm sure the weight for the wood and the Technora need to be switched. Looking at the weights for the Evo you can see that the wood models are lighter.

Hi Ian

I remember you said you thought the '06 Acid 80 in wood was a board for keeps for high wind bump 'n jump. Have you sailed the '08?

What do you think? Similar in feel the '06

The 08 is the same shape as the 07. Still a very fast boards as wave boards go and rockers are in fact shared between the Kombat and Pure Acid lineups.

Hey Mark,

There is no doubt the 07 / 08 is the better true waveboard version.
It is definitely fast as good waveboards go.
There is no doubt the 06 is still in my quiver.
It is definitely VERY fast as good waveboards go.
(Thanks, Per. As always.)

Hey Ian/Ola

Here's a related question concerning Acid74:
I remember that Acid73 (2006 model) was described as cross between Acid and Evo in design & behaviour, while Acid74 (2007 model) is dtl wave board like its larger siblings. Also, more suited to high wind bump/jump (which is what I'll be using it for).
I have a choice of 2007/2008 models right now, so is there any significant differences between these two model years? (both are new, small price difference in favor of 2007 A74 , so that wouldn't influence my decision)

Thanks

No, the PA 74 07 and 08 come from the same mold. I don't think there are any construction updates either, at least not any major ones as these boards have a super low warranty rate already. The fin is slightly different (a tad stiffer but still very soft compared to most other fins). The PA74 is a great board and even though I prefer EVOs, I can not help but love the 74 for its ease of use and versatility and super sharp performance when you get into the waves.
