Isonic 144 2008 [Archive] - Starboard Forums

Hi!
I'm evaluating to buy an ISONIC 144 2008, but I have also the opportunity to buy at a more convenient price an ISONIC 145 2007. So I would like to know if there is a big difference between these two boards?
Especially about early planning and top end speed.
I weight 91kg and I always use a 10.5 sail on choppy water.

Hi Henry,

This 2 boards are really different, the curent one is more a Free Formula and plane a little bit earlier due to the extra wide in the tail and bigger fins. The new one is a slalom machine in the PWA rules (max wide 85cm) for ligter winds and heavy racers, so the top end speed and jibe are better.

If you look more for slalom machine go for the iSonic 144, but if you don't race, the new iSonic 150 will be definitely beter than the iSonic 145 2007 in all compartment.
