nose protector install - what type of glue?

Ive got a 07 Carve 111 and about to buy a nose protector.

I cant find any installation guides on the website, I'm just wondering if anyone has any feedback on:

type of glue/adhesive to use?
what brand?
what type of surface preparation did you do?
any discoloration of the glue?
how well it worked (did it come off after a while?)

I've found silicone bathroom sealent works well. It stays on but takes a while to dry. It's easy to remove cleanly if you want to sell the board later on.

Some people use impact or contact adehsive. While this works well and quickly it is hard to remove should you need to.
