I am an ex formula windsurfer looking into getting a slalom board for this upcoming season in western australia.

my weight is 75kgs and im 174cm tall. so im prety small.
the usual seabreezes are around 18knts to 25knts. i was wondering what board you would recommend for these winds. i will probably buy 2 sails to accomodate a greater range of winds.
i was thinking the isonic 76. or would this be too small?

also any suggestions on sail sizes?

I'm a bit heavier than you, I have a Formula 161 and an iSonic 125, I use the 161 when the winds are light but the iSonic and a 6.5 m2 with winds in the 20's and I have to say, it's a fantastic board. I'm roughly 175lbs and it planes quickly and so far I've not found the top end for speed although on my first day with it I hit over 31mph without even really trying. (GPS) I use an 8m2 with it as well but I find it doesn't handle quite as well. At any rate, not sure if I'm helping with your question, but thought I'd throw in my thoughts on my iSonic. The 76 might be a tad small, you would be better opting for the 111 if you think you'll be out on light days, it'll more than handle the 25kt ones, my 125 sure does..

I am pretty close to your size and Use the ISonic 87 in the winds that you mention with mostly 5.8 KA Koncept, sometimes the 6.6m or 5m. It is a real gem for me. Very quick, easy to control in the chop and gybes like a dream.
