Starboard rider nominated to carry the Olympic Torch
Peru windsurfer Ricardo Cano has been nominated by Lenovo to carry the Olympic torch on its way to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Ricardo Cano born in Peru, start racing at an international level in 1986 with the Optimist class. A couple of years ago, he won the windsurfing National Championships in Peru and since then he won several important titles in other sailing sports such as the Laser and J/24. Ricardo also a top windsurfer and currently the National Formula Champion in Peru. Also, he is the 2006 vice world Formula Experience Champion an enthusiastic sailor, instructor and father.
