Before the release of the 2008 range from Starboard there were shots of a tri-fin Evo.
Are tri-fins or twin-fin designs still being considered?
Will there be any in the 2009 range?

In case you missed this , lots of companies this year , more to follow ? The + & - are what the companies have to weigh, just think what the cost of fins would be ..

No, I didn't miss seeing all the brands trying out new designs for the '08 season or any other season.
My question was, is 'STARBOARD' going to go ahead with a twin or tri-fin design in -09.
As far as cost of fins goes, we pay top dollar for 100% carbon masts, carbon booms, stronger and lighter boards etc, etc, etc all for their better performance. Why would the cost of an extra fin be a factor?
Besides they're quite a bit shorter and wouldn't get trashed on the reef at marginal tides when a standard single fin might... might save me a fin or two in the long run.
Anyone from Starboard that can answer would be appreciated.

Just as before the 08 launch, all options are being tested. Single fin is still hard to beat though.

Quote from Kevin Pritchard -
"Friday I had all of Hookipa to myself with some fun little smacks on the new twin fin."
This pretty much answers my question!

As far as my info goes. Starboard is testing Twin Fin versions of the Pure Acid and Evo's now. The 'Evil Twins'.
