Crack on my board

this is the status in which i found the tail of my acid just the moment after i pulled it out from the package. Dependind on the fact that the nose and tail are extremly well protected by the packing i was wondering if this could be a factory problem more than due to uncarefull shipping.
and then there's something else, sometimes when i press over the heel bumpers, i hear a CRACK CRACK sound. Is it normal or what else could it possibly be?
as i said the board was just opened, so nover in water nor misused or anything

I have a hard time imagining the board can have left the factory like that. Probably it is from the shipping. Even though the boards are packer well, unfortunate things can happen.

Contact the shop from who you bought the board and have things worked out with them. If you have the packing left, you may want to inspect it and take some pics. Technically, you could have the tail smashed through the packing, but if the packing is damaged, particularly the piece of eps at the very tail, we can be sure its something that happened in transportation.

The cracking from the heel bumpers is normal. You can find it more or less on all boards and I think it is just some glue residue that cracks a bit when you push the soft pad.

I hestitate to give hindsight advice, but I've been told to open the the box and fully inspect the product (board) before accepting it. This way, there is no question as to when the damage occured.
