It's not about the bike - as Lance Armstrong used to say. :)

Wojtek is using old sails as well (RS6).

Not very good news for Starboard if a 161 finally wins!

What we can learn from the results so far?
1) There's no such a thing as bad board, all the brands are good, maybe the F2 sailors are not going as good as the Europeans because they registered the F2 Z expecting lighter winds.
2) Is not the board, is the guy who is sailing that really matters, the same for sails, see Gonzalo, who won with Starboard in the past, won with F2 and is winning races with Exocet.
3) I really hope for a "old board and old sail" win, this might stop the "feeling" about you have to have the latest board and sails to win races.
Sorry for my bad engilsh.
Good saiing everyone.

Its fine for Starboard, it shows that the boards have been good for years.
Fine you can buy a 160 or 161 and still be competive.
What about Wojtek and RS6 ? Shall people dump all RS Racing sails ?
Trim and tuning board, sail and fin is a big part of the game.
Most racers would benefit using their boards and sails for 2-3 seasons.
Also good for WS that Gaastra and Exco are competive.

Cheers

I agree too. Itīs the end of an era where new boards and sails were ruling the sport. Now, depends more of the sailor tech than the equipament. It will be very motivating for the FW class if we have that mix of boards (and even Wojtec sails!!) in the top positions. I think that since the SB160, all the increase in a new board design represent a decrease of anothe quality!! Viva FW!!!
