Windsurfing - Qingdao, China

Hi

I am moving from Sydney, Australia to Qingdao, China (where they the olympic water sports) in 2 weeks.

Anyone wind/kite surfed there before? Any good spots where likelihood of being run over by a fishing boat, cargo vessel or ferry is remote?

Can I buy gear there or do I have to import?
