Hi,
I am living in Malaysia (Malacca) for the next 2 years. Can someone recommend some good places to go windsurfing. What is the best time of the year.
I tried a beach near Malacca (Klebang) and at Port Dickson, but still looking for better/windier places.

Best regards,
Thomas

Hi

Not too much wind in this area... Formula mandatory and not everyday...

East coast of Malaysia is windier, the NE wind is coming soon.

Cheers,

You need to go to Kuantan (pahang state) Whilst about 3 hours drive, the wind will always be better there.
The North East wind starts around end Nov until March (ish).
Go to DutaVillage (Balok Beach) and meet Leo ( 012-3291336)
He mostly kites but will show you round, where to eat, get massage etc.
The Straits of Malacca are notoriously fickle and you would need Formula board and big sails to get much action there.
If you need more on kit sizes etc for Kuantan e-m georgewk21@hotmail.com
see you there
