Drake Race NR 700 vs Drake Race 700

Hello,

I have a Formula 159 with deep tuttle fin box.

Anyone know if the fin base should fill the entire tuttle box ? or can their be a gap between the top of the fin and the deck?

Can I use a Drake Race 700 instead of a Drake Race NR 700 with this board, not sure what the NR means.

Hi Dave,

NR = New Rake
If you are talking of the R13, the NR is rake at + 6cm like the Deboichet

So you can use a Drake Race 700 with out problems but basicly more vertical give you more planning ability and beter up wind and down wind.

Does the formula 159 have a special fitted base for its fins?

I've noticed that the base of my Drake Race 700 fin only fills the bottom 1/2 hieght of the fin box, is this normal.... or should the fin base fill the entire fin box ?
