Hi do any of you have some neat tricks on how to remove stickers and their old glue without damaging the sails? do one use heat or any kind of solvent?

Some have used hair dryers to soften the old glue.
I've (very carefully) used solvent. Just be careful not to let it get on the cloth / stitching
Wash with soap and water afterwards.
And if you ever think about putting some new stickers on...............
Cut off an inch or so of the backing all the way round and then stick on. 90% of the adhesive is then not in conatct with the sail.

WD40 is the best for the glue.

Eucalyptus Oil....Easy and as a bonus environmentally friendly....

You can use some silicon in spray. The one u use for cars to make them shine. Also some little gasoline works. If you use just aply it in te monofilm as it may wear out some other materials

I asked this on another forum,
I used both these : GooGone a spray on gel, it did remove the glue remains, but took quite a lot of effort.
: 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, spray can, vapors a little dizzyfiying, outside use ok, in you need a fan, less effort, balls up the glue, which is difficult to get off, I used paper towels, then cleaned with Simple Green, Citrus cleaner would work as well.
Both want a few minutes to soak. the 3M is what I would recommend.
I was told that lacquer thinner would work, it evaporates quickly, hesitant for fear of damage to sewn areas.
I heated with a hair dryer to remove the stickers, some almost intact with almost all glue, others, left lots of patches of old adhesive, being hot they certainly come off easier
