North Platinum booms

Anyone with experience from 2008 North Platinum booms (length 180 -230)?
Any difference between 2007 and 2008 model?
Allmost all North PWA racers seem to prefer (and use!) NeilPryde X9.

Not really, Many use the 190-240 MauiSail Carbon Boom. More than what you think.

Yup I know MS is the best, X9 Second best:-)! Peter Volwater (and I´m sure a bunch of others) on MS boom when sponsored by North and BD, CM, PD often used X9. But what I´m really looking for is if anyone has some insights about the performance of North Platinum.

Approx 3 months ago Patrick D. tested and liked a lot a new curve and weigth of slalom size Platinum booms. I cant find that text, but he was talking about more comfortable ride and better speed.
