Gemini in Wood construction?

Starboard continue the good work with new ideas and inventions in windsurfing!
Make a Gemini tandem in wood construction without daggerboard and it should be possible to make it sub. 15kg. I think it could be a new breed. It is so fun my father and I use a old F2 tandem and have tried the gemini but it is to heavy for rasers at 23kg...

i agree it would be a nice idea, however i think the reason they're not doing it would be the cost. There would a very very small market for these boards so the cost of setting up new machines in the factories and all that lot would raise the price of these boards and given not many of them would sell then the economy of scale idea (the more you make the less the cost for each unit) doesnt apply. these boards are more for schools i think where durabilty is an issue so wood wouldnt sell in that respect. its a good idea but especially in this economic climate its probably not an economically viable option.
