What is the means of construction differences between the Drake and the Deb?

Why is the cost so much different?

One is Hand laid Carbon and the Drake is G10 mass production. That is the reason between the price of the Deboicet and a Drake.

When I look atthe drake, it looky like it is carbon, but also I can see through clear edge and why cannot it be better quality if built at the same factory as good boards?
Is it spray paint on the carbon Debocheit, or part of the molding?

I am sure it is spray painted red. An you are right, Some of the Drake are carbon molded but not 100% carbon molded as Deboichet.

Debs - molded carbon fiber (controlled flex, twist)

Drake - Fiberglass/ G10 w/ a small amount of carbon fiber reinforcement (too soft)

Molded carbon fiber fins have less drag because they can make the profiles thinner with out compromising flex, twist. Unlike g10 or softer materials, where the flex and twist is controlled by the thickness of the material/ profile. Thicker profile = more drag, thinner profile = spin out.

I think a red dye is mixed in the resin in the deb fins. It would be easier than painting it. Not sure though.
