At 13.9kg for 290 litres the 09 380 race must be Cobras lightest longboard build. Lets hope they don't have to recall'em....

Actually if the Hybrid Formula had that kind of construction it should have weighed about 12.5kg, and might just have worked..

btw The Raceboard sail is another one described as 'light' but without a weight listed. Hmmmm.

Hi Unregistered,

Just for to correct your information :

The Phantom Race is 303liters so almost 50 liters more than the old Race-Board

The Hybrid Formula have definitelly not the same construction.

And I will weight this afternoon the Race-Board Sail to correct this lack information.

Enjoy this machine who is already on the market and show his potential.

All the best

Hi Unregistered,

The last England Championship show something totally different, but any way the sail is 5,8kgs and enjoy the class whatever you use.

the phantom doesnt rail too good. The pan am and the cat are faster upwind as soon as there is some wind, and not any slower when its light. Why doesnt the phantom rail properly? and why send it out with such a big fin?

Hi Unregistered,

Did you try the O9 model?

It's a compromise this board can accept from 40 to 50 it's depend on your style and wind. In this case we choose the 48 to have a quick plainning. For sure you don't have to limit your self with only one fin in Race-Board.

All the best

yes remi the 09 rails better than the 08- but the 08 is terrible for railing.
I understand about the fin but i think that the large fin compromises racing performance too much, we dont do reaching courses at the moment and hence the large fin is instantly slowing us down, sub 40 cm is quicker on upwind/downwind. Did you test with sub 40 fins?

Hi Unregistered,

Yes we try differents fins in R13 from 40 to 50 and R19 profil also but in the bigger size.
On trapeze course we found that the R19 48cm was better, but yes if you do only up wind and down wind at this time I will recommand smaller fin. The class didn't limit to only one fin, so you can choose the best for the wind and kind of race course you have in your country.

All the best
