I just bought a new ( used ) sail, and it has a 8:1 pulley system on it. ( 4 rollers on the sail, set up perpendiculary ). How should I tread it to my mast base extension, which is has a neilpryde 2 roller base ?

Can you send me a digital photo of your 2 pulley NP mast base.
Also, does the axle for the pulleys (sheaves actually) on the tack pulley run front to back
or across your board.
I'm a little puzzled as to a mast base setup with only 2 sheaves.
If you cannot send a photo, perhaps you can find a link on one of theNP websites
to the type of mast base you have.
P.S. We can figure out the best way for you to rig this tackle, but with only 2 sheaves, it will cut down your mechanical advantage, and it would seem since the sail has 4 sheaves, it might require alot of downhaul.

Unless I am missing something, all my bases have two pulleys (sheaves) and a cleat, while the sail tack has three sheves. Pretty standard from what I have seen.
From the base - Line up to tack, line down to sheave, line up to tack, line down to sheve, line up to tack, line down to cleat. Of course there is a way to avoid crossing any lines, but it's too hard to describe in words.
