View Full Version : When crap gets wings
2nd November 2006, 02:01 AM
Hi guys, I kind of stayed away a bit hoping the site problems would finally get solved. Well it is faster (wings) but it still doesn't work all too reliably (posting on a thread seems to be impossible (crap part so here new thread) wonder if this will actually make it to the forum).
Software written by inapts usually doesn't get better by being placed on a faster system. It usually just tends to get a bit faster. Its hurts a little less, but it remains what exactly what it was: CRAP.

In the last week or so, the site has been running smoothly for me, with quick loading, etc. Is it better than before the format change? - No, but it is pretty user friendly at the moment.
Thanks for working out the bugs.

A bit harsh Duracell??
I like the additional features of the new forum.

"a bit harsh" is a bit of an understatement.
When Duracell craps on this forum we should suppose it's his sense of humour?:D:D:D

The last couple posts that I made in the "Quick Reply" section gave me a message that appeared to suggest that my attempt to reply didn't work. Despite this message, the reply was in fact posted. Unfortunately, I posted the same message three times before I realized what had happened. Recently, I've noted others appear to be experiencing the same problem, as many multiple posts have occurred.
Also, I tried the "Post Reply" button as an alternative method of posting a reply, and got this "sticky thread" message, to include a notification that I couldn't post a reply.
I'm not sure what's up, but it's something worthy of further investigation. Notwithstanding these couple of quirks, I'm very happy with the latest server upgrade, as the earlier transaction speed problem has vanished.

I know if I develop a bad attitude, for whatever reason, I can be strongly outspoken and difficult. I guess Duracell is having one of those days. I understand his frustration. The hard part is trying to rein in the frustration and more positively express myself. Sometimes its a formidible challenge that I struggle with.
