Hi team,
I am experiencing problems with my kode 94 2009 footstrap screws.
The back footstrap screw snapped in two different occasions inside the insert, thereby making it now impossible to sail the board.
The first time in fact I had simply moved the entire footstrap to the aft holes.
Is it a well known problem? I actually never had it occur on any other board before.
The screws had been normally tightened both times, had not loosened up, and, although freestyling, no particular force was applied to the footstrap to justify this type of damage.
Is this damage covered by warranty? The board is practically brand new.
Any advice on how to get the screws out?
They snapped below the deck surface so I haven't figured out a way to do it.
Finally I took a look at the other screws, the ones that had not broken yet, and some of them appear to be slightly bent.
The ones that did snap all present a micro channel in the middle.
A faulty batch possibly?
Given the level of attention to quality by starbaord I am surprised and slightly disappointed.
Thank you for your help
