Could you advise mast extensions for using on FW 10-12m sails.
Which maker extensions are most reliable and suitable for FW?
Which mast base system : pin or cup ?
I spend one hour in cold water after Technolimits aluminum mast extension breakage and dont want to repeat it again.
Thanks,
Arnas

Hi Arnas,
Not sure where you are located, but if you can purchase from the USA,
take a look at the new Streamlined "Redline" mast base extensions.
Don't think you will break one of these!

Hi Arnas797,
Severne just put on the market ans extension that we test from long time, and this one is really strong and stiff, never bent.
You have 3 big pulley, so no problems to trim your 10 to 12,5m.

I use a simple aluminium mast extension from Neil Pryde. Even the 28 cm I use up to 26 cm for a 10.7 sail. No problems at all about bending the material and so on

Not a formula sailor, but a lot of slalom. I am using the same old Windsurfing Hawaii extensions since 1992. I just had to change the pulleys on two of them. Pity WSH seems to have disappeared...
