Wrong fins delivered for Quad IQ 87?

Hello,

I received delivery of My 2011 Quad IQ 87 Wood carbon last Saturday.
It came with 2x13 and 2x12 quad fins (plus the 2x16 twins).
When looking at the Board specs on the Starboard site it says that the Board should have 2x14 and 2x11 quad fins.
My dealer has no answer on this.
Did I receive the wrong set of fins?
Will 2x13 + 2x12 work on the board (I intend to put 5.8 as the max sail on it)?

Only one cm difference between the front and back fins seems strange.

Looking forward to your guidance on this (wind and waves are coming this wekend!).

13+12 work very well in general and I know it is the preferred option on the 77 (i think there might still be an error on the site regarding the 77). For 5.8 sailing specifically, its tough to say what will work best, but I reckon 14+11 might have an edge, but not by much.

I don't know what is supposed to come with the 87 but I will check with Scotty.

I'm going to have to admit there's been a bit of a fluff there with 14's being listed as the fins and they should have been.
But the thing is, the board does go really well with the 13/12.
The 14/12 does give a little bit extra lift for lighter wind.
Personally though, if I was wave riding for myself, I'd probably stick with the 13's.
Up to a 5.8 max. No problem

I will stick to the 13+12 and might just order a set of 14s just in case.

Hi,

In case of very light wind, you can install the 16 cm of the twin set and the 12 cm, it works quite well ! I did it with the 77 quad iq, 15cm+12cm, perfect in very light wind !
Don't forget that last year, quad 81 had 16cm + 12 cm !
