G takes a break,
Giampaolo like anyone has opinions, and he states them openly, and is not anonymous of who he is or where he is.
As you know there alot going on in maui , lots of changes , ie: the vacation rental issue, kiting windsurfing within 200 feet of surfers ( that got shelved for later) and limiting the size of sailing kiting surfing instruction at local beaches. Everyone is coming out and getting heated up.
locals, ( and there seems to be different types that an issue unto itself) and visitors like myself were wading into his forum and ramping things up.
I think it was a good time to give it a break and let people settle down, myself included as i posted on his site and took a stance on some issues.
all my support and a good idea G.

He's just going through a learning experience. Same thing happened to me. He seems like a good guy with 110% good intentions. He just needs to step back and consider what impact his actions, whether percieved or real, are having on his new community and to those people that have welcomed him into his new home. Posting information on the internet regarding "secret spots" especially on such a small, tourist polluted island is a betrayal of that hospitality.
This is an old story.

|Unregistered||Problem was, it was way more than anti windsurfing. That thread of comments was dark and getting darker. Wasn't going to help anybody heal. Giampaola provides a wonderful, alive, irreverent waterman's view of life in paradise for all to enjoy and share some of the stoke. And he does that blog because that's what he wants to do with his time. Anyone can start a blog, so i'll call you out: start one to heal racial hatred.|

Giampalo blocked all dialogue! Why?
Granted it was getting heated up, but if dialogue can lead to understanding and a repeal of the anti-windsurfing regulations, why not let the discussion run its course?
Please reconsider, Gianpolo.
