well unregistered, I did and this is what they suggest:
"To make sure it is the new mast with the ferule insert, flip of the cap on the ferule, slide a tape measure down the hole and try to feel for the insert step. If you cannot feel a step it is one of the older ones. Also have a look on the outside of the ferule in the corner you can see that it is an insert and not one piece."
Unfortunately it is not too clear to me and I was hoping to find some help in this forum where a lot of windsurfers are reading and writing (in my opinion one of the biggest in internet about windsurf).
Plus I believe it could be interesting for the windsurfing community to know some new development especially in the mast section where I see a lot of complain about breakage.

recognize a NP X6 mast 2008 compare to 2007
I'm on the way to buy 2 mast X6. I was reading about a change in the 2008 series:
"Their was a change in contruction of the ferrule area, the masts that had the cracking have a intergrated ferrule, the new masts have a ferrule insert."
How can I recognize a 2008 model?
