RE: 2nd board?

Thx Ian and PG for your answers. That's exactly what I intended to do. I think I'll look for a cool SType for blasting around (btw: GPS speed with my HS111 and 6,4 GunSails on Lake Garda is 50km/h).

Hang loose, Andreas.

Or ST93..

Plenty of blasting speed, if that is your thing - but still easy riding/jibing in chop. Can still be quite playful in chop, medium swell. ST93 is not a technically demanding board to ride, especially in medium powered conditions, and it doesn't sail "small" for it's size.

HS111 : 8,5m and light 6.4m conditions
ST93 : Powered 6.4m and 5.4m conditions.

With 72kg, that would be sweet.
Agree with PG , if the resale on HS111 is not so high, use it for the second end to a good rangy two board quiver.

Cheers ~ Ian

RE: 2nd board?

Hi Andreas,
My recommendation would be to build a two board quiver. There are several reasons for this.
The HS is basically a very good board for light winds. Keep it for that purpose.
The HS is designed for straight line blasting, and not much more. A second board like a small carve will add a totally new dimension to your sailing. Jibing, jumping, small tricks, light feel, a new world will open for you.
It does not make much sense to try to sell the HS111, you will get far less money than it is worth to you.
As you state you are a light and intermediate sailor I do think the C101 would be an ideal fit. It is fast enough, and easy enough to let you hone your skills (as it is quite different than the HS).

2nd board?

Hi everyone!

I own a HS111 Wood and can't decide what to do with it next year. Should I get a IS111 (as a "single board solution") or should I get a second board (is101, st115 or c101) for higher windrange?

I use a 8,5m sail on my home-lake (small chop, windforce from 3 to 5 beaufort). On Lake Garda I sail 6,4m and 5,4m. In 5,4-conditions my HS111 is very physical to sail - I think a more conventional shape will be easier here. I'm an intermediate sailor with 72kg.

What would you suggest?
Thx a lot for your answers!

Andreas
