Ola_H Are you doing wave sailing only or do you need the faster crossover feel from the Kombat? If you want to add volume it's easier to get away with it once on a wave if you go for a board like the EVO (90). I think you would find the EVO 90 an amazing wave riding board for 5.7 conditions.

For flatwater, backside sailing and that type of thing a larger Kombat will work fine. But it can get a bit hectic on a good size (light wind) wave.

86l or bigger?

Hi, I sail in Perth, WA. I weigh 85 kgs and presently use a Kombat 86 for light winds (sails 6.3, 5.7, 5.3) an Acid 73 (sails 5.3, 4.7, 4.2) for heavier winds. I'm looking at replacing my light wind board...not sure if I should keep the same volume or consider something slightly bigger...say 92-96 litres?

I find my 6.3 feels a bit big on a 86 l board. However most of my sailing is 5.7 conditions. Would I regret getting a larger board. Thanks
