Caribsurf Got some shity ones that broke as I tried to put them together. So I made some stainless straps and pop rivet them over the base and bars. Going to bolt them right throw the stainless strap and in to the roof on wensday.
See how it work haha...

Thule has the same boxes and a lot more and by the way they open from both sides of the car. Not from the back.

sivagriva Depends what your needs are, but I would also suggest Thule, they have way more options than any car dedicated one. I too have Volvo original roofrack, but bought also Thule cos needed longer bars. And yes, original Volvo racks are made by Thule.

Unregistered get the roofrack from your car dealer that is designed for your car. it will be much cheaper and of good quality. thules, montblans are more expensive an not worth money. I have volvo roofrack from my dealer. everything fits perfectly, thing is very high quality, all parts are coated with rubber. much better than "universal" brands and 25 percent cheaper.
