I own a 2009 Kode 68, and notice that in 2011 Starboard changed the tail shape, thickness and width. The overall length and width of the board has stayed the same as has the stated volume. I am curious about the reasons for changing the tail shape and the results of doing it, in comparison to my board. I weigh 69 Kg , and use the board for high wind bump and jump. I love the board in these conditions, but I do find my board challenging to sail in gusty conditions, and am wondering if the tail change has resulted in a friendlier board to use in these conditions. Enough to upgrade to the newer board?
