Multipower Sportsfood to sponsor Windsurf World Cup
Leading European sports nutrition company, Atlantic Multipower has agreed an exciting new sponsorship deal with the Reno Windsurf World Cup, which will take place in Westerland, Germany from September 28 – October 7.
As official Co-Partner, Multipower will have a significant presence at the 10 day event, offering product samples and training and nutrition advice to both professionals and spectators alike, in addition to branding and hospitality on site.
The partnership marks the first time the event has secured a sponsor in the sports nutrition sector, and allows Multipower Sportsfood the opportunity to increase brand awareness within a sport that appeals to a young demographic.
The Reno Windsurf World Cup is one of the most prestigious events on the PWA (Professional Windsurfer’s Association) World Tour, and is the only event which sees the world’s windsurfing elite competing across three disciplines – Waveriding, Freestyle and Slalom. Over 230,000 spectators will watch 120 international windsurfing stars compete for a total prize fund of €120,000 at the final PWA event of 2012.
Christian Witscher, Brand Manager at Multipower said, “We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Windsurf World Cup. Windsurfing is an exhilarating sport that demands high levels of strength and fitness, and the nutritional needs of a windsurfer are considerable. We look forward to working with the competitors and amateurs to provide them with the necessary sports nutrition to help prepare for, compete in and recover from competitions at all levels of their sport.”
Matthias Neumann, Managing Director at ACT Agency, organisers of the Reno Windsurf World Cup added, “We are very pleased to have the support of Multipower Sportsfood, an international brand with a rich heritage. Multipower products are perfectly suited to support the intense physical demands on a windsurfer, and we look forward to working with them on a longer term basis in the future.”
