2 Quiver

DUDE , I am same weight and although my biggest sail is a 9.0 RS/6 , I am having a quiver of an 80cm (falcon 131) and 62cm (exo TBII) wide slalomboards.

I have sailed the 80 wide many many times this year - using racing sails from 9.0 / 7.8 even to 6.7 with only changing fins.....my 62 wide I used most of the times with the 6.7 but also a couple of times with a 5.8 m2.....

This set has given me so much options and doubled my TOW , just change fins and keep flying !!! Some friends are sailing Starboard Isonics in similar boardwidths and all have mentioned that with 85-90 kg riderweight this is by far the best combo to go with.

I have even been GPS racing with the 5.8 and 27 lessaccher speedfin and had a briilliant time with it....

Good luck with choosing the right boards

Chris Pressler Hi,
133 and 96 is a sweet decision. Sure, the 86 will work great with your 6.6, too. But the 96 will give you a much better performance on the 96. There would be as well the 101 choice, but if you plan to go for GPS Speed a board with less width and more length should be faster and more easy in handling.

Maximus If it was me I would make sure that my 2 smallest sails fitted on the smallest board. Which would mean getting the I96.

There will be plenty of days when sailing your 7.8/133 when you wish the 7.8 was on a smaller board. Easier to drop board size than 2 rig another sail & possibly board etc.

I sail H111 F93 8.4/6.7/5.8 & are 85KG.

happy sailing

PeterCee For 30kts its got to be iS86

For 10m its got to be iS133

Ideal quiver would include iS111 for 7.5m weather.

I know - I sail em.

ISONIC Quiver (2) question

Can anyone help me please?

I'm picking 2 Isonics to cover my 3 race sails, a 10.0m (for lightwind), a 7.8m (medium to strong) and a 6.6m (medium to 30knots stonking), which would you recommend?

I'm 83kg, 180cm high and proficient - not afraid to hold on when windy. Plan to start racing here in New Zealand, but need the boards to cover freesailing also. I'd use kit in all flat to choppy conditions.

I'm thinking 133 as it'll go with 10.0 and 7.8m, but can't decide on 96 or 86. Plan to do some GPS speed also.

Thank you.

Bob M
