Hi Tom, It's a little difficult to be too specific without having seen the board / finish in real life - but it doesn't sound correct based on description. Obviously subtle finish / surface problems are also difficult to transit by photo detail. Can you (easily) access your retailer/dealer for their inspection and/or warranty action/s (if any) ? The bottom finish of my 162..... .......is on some larger areas,especially around the fin,harsh,or raw like sharkskin. On other areas,almost the complete part until the front footstraps itīs finished like all the other boards. This is not the intention,isnīt it? Just looks that it is not sanded completely.
