| nonopr | I sail only MauiSails TR-5 last year. I have one 2009 7.5 Code Red with mast that I rig once and did not even take it to water. I am going to put it for sale this this coming week. |

| Unregistered | Looks like i cant get the simmer. But maybe i can get a severne code red 2009 6.5 or a 7.0. I am considering buying the 6.5 to get a wider windrange, but how does it perform in 20 knots? |

| nonopr | Those are good sails. They have perform really well in the PWA with their team. |

Thanks... Actually i am not that big. 85kg. And i set the downhaul to the recommended setting, and i adjust the outhaul according to the wind strength, 2 cm more than recommended for high winds20-22 knots. Somehow i just seem to be able to use a bit bigger sails than everyone else. I can get a good deal on a simmer sc race 2009 7.0. Do you know anything about that sail? Rene |

I will say a 7.0m sail. That sail must handle easily 20-25 knots. In the PWA they will only use a 7.0m sail if the wind is gusting to 30knots. I wont use it until it hits at least 22 knots. If youuse a 8.0m V8 you must be a big guy. because that sail is for light wind. i am sure your are pulling a lot of downhaul to flatten that sail and that is a problem because if the wind dies just a little that sail whont have any power at all like that. I recommend a TR-5 or TR-6 from MauiSails. |

20-25knots racesail size Hi, I'm currently using a v8 8,0 until the wind gets over 20knots. And now i want buy a full on race sail for 20-25 knots winds. Which size should i go for? Is a 7,0 too close to the 8,0? I like sailing a bit owerpowered and i am very comfortable with my v8 8,0 until i hit 20 knots. Rene |
