Prodan It's not that much a beginner, but it's still easy. it's freeride like the futura... i used an older version and it became my favourite board (most of them were quite old...), my second being a big starboard go, which was like a mini boat lol. anyways, i think u should get a futura or (maybe) carve... kode is more for high(er) winds. not sure bout the rocket...

donovan:)))) @prodan :i feel that its an ok price as most of the other board brands are also around the same price and are from different shops and for the evolution isnt it a very beginner board ??? i used it when i started windsurfing last year but that board is a good board
@night : i saw the boardseeker article so thats why i asked about that board so which is better now ??? the carve , the rocket or the kode
OH and i am planing to use a 8.6(warp f2011) sail like i said not alot of wind here in in my area (Singapore)

Prodan i dunno, i think ill get a 5-5.5 m freeride (hellcat?), freerace/race (vapor 5.0?) or wave (a manic or something) tho im not sure if 4 cams will be good...

night Tabou rocked is the same class as Starboard Carve. Carve is the kind of board you can use later on, when you learn everything. check at boardseeker, they made 120l freeride board test.

Price depends where are you from. Here where I am you can get last year model (new) for about 850-1100, depens on model and construction.

With longer board it will be easyer to pull sail out of water and also tacking it will be easyer. It will be better for you...

@Prodan: fututra will be good in chop but kode will be better. You have to look at what sails you will use....
If you like wave sails more (4+ or 5+ m2 sails) and than take kode 94 or 86.
If you like speed and drive more like 6+m2 freeride/freerace (NP hellcat for instance) sails take futura 93 or 101.

Prodan Dude, if they cost $1500+ here at a shop and quads (most expensive ones i think) are $1400-1800 at an online store then your shop has overpriced stuff... just sayin' ,and if you're buying new i suggest u get 1 from an online store... you might find a good deal which includes a rig. other progressive boards you could use are a small go or i used 2 rent an rrd (evolution 360) it's quite small/ wide, comfortable and planes quite well. it has a daggerboard btw, and it's probably cheap

donovan:)))) @prodan :im not so sure about the price range but last years models cost at least S$2000 for the carve and futuras.
@farlo :does the lenght make any difference ??? as in handling the board and is it ok if i go over the recommended sail range???

Farlo Hello Donovan, poster #4 made a good advice because Carve's are a bit longer than Furura's so the transition from a Techno will be easier. With 121 L you will have plenty of volume to help you in light air. If you don't grow too heavy you can keep it as a light wind board and buy another, more racy one, when you've got more experience. iSonic is for expert/advanced sailors and you won't use it to its full potential. In the meantime you may have broken it. I don't understand your shop (... or too well).

Prodan Don't know what that is... and you're not really a beginner. get a progressive board so you can also use it later on (something about 120-140l, maybe a kode tuffskin i dunno). just go read about different boards (starboard, fanatic, jp etc.find the prices and pick something nice in your price/skill range. btw what is it, cos new starboards cost about $1300 )
