the futura 144 was 79 cm and with a 48 cm fin - to my understanding this is usually a GREAT fin length for sails 8.0 to 8.5 this is what i use and am 100 kilos on a 79 cm wide board for 7.0 and down i use a 40 cm fin - but a more swept fin than the 48 you can use small sails like 5.5 on these boards, but as mentioned - NOT ideal when i use a 6-oh on the 79 cm wide board - winds and chop are usually the deterrents !! wish i had a futura 144 !!! sounds like it is a great light/mid wind board 10 to 20 knots !!! |

Jelle, These might help: http://www.select-hydrofoils.com/en/selector/ http://www.makanifins.com/Windsurfin...Guide_s/44.htm For both, select a discipline and feed in board specs. The 5.5m sail is a bit small for a board of this size. Hope this helps. |

Fin for Starboard Futura 144 Hey all, I am looking for a fin for my starboard futura 144. I have a 8.5 sail with which i use the fin that came with the board. I also have a 5.5 and a 7.0 sail, what fin size should i use for my 5.5 and 7.0? I am roughly 80Kg. Thanks! |
