Formula + 10.7 sail combo is king in light wind with your 80 kg weight, no questions. However, by keeping your 10.7 sail and swapping your Formula for an UltraSonic would provide an easier/comfier ride, less hard and less physically demanding. Bottom end would be for sure far better than that with iSonic 127 + 9.6 for example.

I'm 80 kgs , sea sailing , have already stb 107 and 87 for 15 knots plus ( 7.8 / 7.0 / 6.4)
Have also a formula with 10.7 and wonder if i would enjoy more staying with formula (don't race anymore) having a nice low end and good cruising or changing for a light wind slalom

What's you weight ? Are you sailing on a lake in unsteady winds or at sea with steady winds ?

I would absolutely go for a board where you can use a 9,5 sail. With sails up to 9,5m you can manage with a relatively short boom.
The US is probably easier to sail than a Formula.
The IS127 will not plane as early as the US, but as OZI says it will give you more fun when it gets windier. The IS127 works fantastic with a 9,5 sail, and it also works perfectly fine with a 7,8 sail with 46cm fin and steady winds up to 12 m/s.

|OZI||Depends on heaps of factors, age, if you are racing, do you want to get planing earlier, do you want to sail when it gets windier. The 127/9.6 will be easier to use and have a bit more top end. The formula will get planing in less wind and will be a little bit more bottom end.|
