Unregistered Thanks for your useful comment CoachG , i tried futura 131 few weeks ago but in a much windier spot and the wind was much stable than my usual surfing spot and i found it very comfortable while riding meanwhile i dont know if it will plane like slalom does in gusty spot of ours ..but while the footstraps are in a much more comfortable position it may be easier on futura to get going than slalom

COACHG A smaller board will be easier to jibe if you can carry speed through the jibe or in rough terrain. Understand that with the Futura vs. your JP slalom you will get a more comfortable ride & easier/better jibe but you will lose planing power if going with 111/121/131 Futura vs. your current 132. So if you can't plane all the time with the JP 132 than your planing time will go down with 111/121/131 Futura.

mcross19 They are a very user friendly board and it will be ok for gybing but as a novice gyber maybe something like the new AtomIQ would be better?

7.0m sail will also work well on the Futura 121

Going on what you have written so far the 121 sounds perfect
I usually use the same one but if the wind is over 20 knots i use a 7.0 , do you think 121 will be suitable to work on gybes ?

Coachg
well my waterstart is not that solid actually and because of the wind conditions we sail sometimes in a very low wind between the gusts i might think of 131 and water is mostly flat

Unregistered I also weigh 90 kgs, and ride a Futura 111 with 7.8. Most used board. It will go well with 7.0 and 6.5. Just get a couple of extra fins for it.
