Hi Willy

The printed settings on the sails are what we recommend as all-round settings. As always you will probably find your personal trim and settings to be slightly different after some time.

There is so many factors in the trim, but please take Remi's advice on the trimming - it seams to be spot on.

Best thing is to get the sails on the water and trim with a good friend. Let us know after a few days on the water if you have any specific questions in your trimming - and we will help out as good as we can from here

Hi Willy,

Up wind in light wind conditions, my sail touch my harness line and I put more deep in the sail for downwind.

All the best

Hi Remi,
just switched for 2007 sails from 2005 ones (not Severne).
From what I've heard new sails should have the draft a bit reared to make it faster and to allow pushing better on the fin.
Please correct me if I wrong.
Anyway,is there something I start to change in mast base trim?
thank you

hi remi,

you write:

6. What is the right outhaul for the Code:Reds? (eg in downwind the sail touch the front or back harness strap on the leeward… in upwind the sail touch the boom on the leeward side two span back from the backstrap of the harness…) It's depend of which boom you use, with the X9, my sails touch the harnes line.

Do you talk about here downwind? if yes, about how many cm moving back the sail touch on the leeward side of the boom in upwind?

thanks a lot,
willy

Hi Guys,

Same questions about the F161 and Code:Red like the isonic111. Please help me out to find the right trimming for the board, based on your experience.

I'm 184cm 85kg. Sails are 11,6 11,0 10,0 code:red r2 sails.

1. Footstrap positions? Front or back, which holes is the right from the opportunities? All in the back and outside

2. Where is the right mastfoot position? (you talk about the whole mast track or just the active area, without the last appr. 2cm?) Between 1 or 2 cm behind of the middle of mast track (all the track mast)

3. From how many knots works better the deb R13 +8 S fin than the R19 +8 S--? Under 15 knots for the R 19 and over for the R 13, depend also of your feeling can be 12 knots.

4. What is the different in riding the R13 +6 S fin and the R13 +8 M? I prefer the medium when is flat water and the soft in choppy water and more.

5. What is the right downhaul for the production Code:Reds? The recommended numbers are correct or any sign on the sails to check the loose of the leach? I can't answer I have only prototype

To save your time you can write your answers just after the relevant number…

Thanks a lot for your help again,
Willy
