Fin for ultrasonic and 8.0 ncx
 

Hi again!

My next sail down from the overdrive 9.7 is an ncx 8.0. Ultrasonic board.

it seems that I need a 52cm R13 fin.

Im thinking either drake or deboichet

Is there a big difference between Drake and Deboichet?

Yes same shape but not same material, one inexpensive but still good fin and the other one like hi performances fins so more expensive but the difference on the water are big. So up to you in function of your wallet :)

Didn't the Ultrasonic come with a R13 58cm fin from factorry??? The website says that you should have a fin with the board....

What will be the actual difference that I notice? ( I once bought very expensive speaker cables but I am not really sure that I can hear any difference,,,:))

Early planing? speed? jibing?higher ride? less/more forgiving?

It will give more lift and keep it easily, so go faster. The Drake one will make the board low on the water but still a good one.

Better you try it first in 58 with your 9.7 and then if you feel you want something better you can go for the Deboichet

Could you post a few pictures off the Ultra Sonic please? I think you must be one of first to have this board and pictures would be great:)

Unfortunately I dont get the board until march/april.
