Quad sizes

Just a quick size question. Im looking at a new quad, i weigh about 75kgs about 180cm im am ok sailor spend most of my time in waves, mostly cross off with proper swell. Just tossing up between the 77 and 82. It will be my only wave board. I have a 86 kode and a 70ish L custom full on twin fin which i want to replace with one board. I find the twin is too small most of the time. So tend to use the big board if in any doubt im pretty comfortable using a bigger board even when its big and windy. I want to be catching as many waves as easily as possible but dont want to sacrifice my wave performance too much. And realise these board are very wide, does this make them feel quite big?
I mostly sail with a 4.7 and am improving quickly
