Wind range for Isonic 145
What do you think, Roger? Sails 7.5 and 9.5, flat water and small chop? Let,s say 10-18 knots? Thanks

RE: Wind range for Isonic 145
Hi JGue,
I say that would be a really super combination!
I've sailed the Isonic 145 with both of these sail sizes and it rips!
The 7.5 is getting down near the bottom of the Is 145's best range, but if you lean out your sail a bit and get the mast foot and fin size right, it very quick, without being difficult to control.
Sort of like a faster formula board.
Hope this helps,

O.K., but tell me something about the wind range. Probably, with those two sails, 12-20 knots?

RE: Wind range for Isonic 145
Roger. Need help. I also have an F 159 and a carve 122, so i dont know what Isonic to buy. The dealer has Isonic 06 125 and 145 07. My sails are 7.5, 9.5 and 10.8. I am an intermediate sailor, 40 years old and 85 kg. I like wide board because i donĀ“t feel confortable in narrow boards and where i sail, winds are gusty and drops to almost nothing (sailing in salt water). Thank a lot.

RE: Wind range for Isonic 145
Hi JGue,
The wind range, with your 7.5 m2 and 9.5 m2 would be 10 knots to a bit over 20 knots (maybe 22 if the water is really flat).
You aren't that heavy, and if you have good pumping skills you could be planing even a little earlier.
It depends on where you want to put your emphasis. If you want earlier planing, go with the Isonic 145.
If the low wind range isn't your first priority, then go with the smaller Isonic 125.
Hope this helps,
