Lightwind fin for XL slalom board and 10,0?
 

Hi,
Sorry for the non Starboard related question....

I have decided to skip formula for now since I do not think it is that fun anymore. Instead I will ride a F2 SX 145-09 (85 wide, 145 l) together with a XO Gold 10,0 as my lightwind setup. My weight is approx 107 kg

What I am after is a fin for excellent early planning with the mentioned board and rig. Any suggestions?
I have already fins for medium winds (where I will use a 8,5), so only lightwind fins necessarry.

just like in FW, best fins are custom carbon and most guys that make FW fins are branching out to slalom, check out ifjufins(dot)com as one of the posible choices

Checked out Ifju and they looked really nice...but a bit on the expensive side maybe for me.

Anyone know of any good standard lightwind fins?

Check out Select fins. The S11 is power house and the S10 is slightly less power, but slightly faster than S11. I recently got an S10 47cm for my iS137 and gained a couple of knots speed c/w my RS7 fin. Deb, ifjufins and other custom fins will be better than Select for sure, but for weekend fun, Select are good:)

Yeah, Select is definatelly high on my list.

A dealer I talked to in Sweden was out of the biggest fins, but I am gonna check with a couple more dealers as well. New shipment should arrive mid/late Aug, so might be worth the wait

Try Riks in the UK, they are the main dealer for Select. He sends large items like boards oveseas on a regular basis, so a fin will be easy. Riks usually has all sizes in stock, so no need to wait till end of Aug:)

This chap from a neighbouring country has a 51cm S11 fo sale. At 51cm, it would be for super light days.
