Isonic 117 Wide
I Just bought a 117 Isonic Wide.
I haven't yet bought a sail for it, and will be using this board in light gusty conditions (10-17kts, flat water.) It seems from what people say, that the optimum sail size is 8.6 with a 46cm fin. While I know that the board is capable of handling 9.5, what I want to know is how optimal is this sail size for the 117W? If I'm going to get WAY better performance out of the 8.6, please let me know. Lastly, If the 9.5 is recommended, what would be the suggested fin size? Many thanks, MKA |
Hi Mka,
What is you body weight, the other boards and sails you have already, thanks? All the best |
Hi Remi,
I'm 78kg, and my other boards/sails are 100 liter slalom board and 7M sail and smaller. I want to use the 117W for maximum very light wind performance. Thanks, MKA |
Hi Mka,
To get the max performances from this board in light winds, you can get it from 9.2 like the Reflex II 9.2, it's this combo Steve Allen use with success in the PWA tour. All the best |
Thanks Remi!
